Cultural Presentation at Oakridge Community Center

Join us for a free cultural presentation in Oakridge, OR on Saturday October 12th.

Children’s session: 
Karen Rainsong from Singing Creek Educational Center will do a free program for kids at 2pm. “Coyote and the Fish Trap” is a storybook from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. She will read the book, discuss culture with the kids, then they will color their own coyote face mask to take home. All supplies provided. The children’s session is best for ages 5 to 10. Then later that evening, at 5pm, Deitrich Peters will share about his regalia, play flute, tell stories and take questions. This event is best for ages 8 and up.
